Karen Duffy

 Karen has a degree in Early Childhood Education from Syracuse University and took many, many art classes while in school.  She also grew up totally surrounded by art as both of her parents were professional artists, graduating from RISD.  "My father worked as a portrait artist as well as an illustrator for children’s books and my mother taught art to elementary children, grades k-6."  

In mid-life, Karen began taking more art classes and continues to present her work.  "I draw inspiration from my surroundings, both nature and sea; I love mixing colors to reflect the world around me."
