Carolyn Gaziano is a photographer and shell artist. Carolyn has been an award-winning, published photographer for 30 years, specializing in sports and photo-journalism. Her photos have regularly appeared in newspapers and magazines. Since moving to Southport, she has transitioned to photographing local events and points of interest. Carolyn is a volunteer photographer for the Saint James Service Club, the St. James Pickleball Association, the North Carolina senior games and Operation At Ease.
Artists Statement
Upon moving to Southport, Carolyn began creating shell art scenes using local shells she finds on Oak Island and Holden beaches. Her creations include nativity sets, coastal scenes, holiday compositions, and life event designs such as weddings and birth announcements.
