This 3-part series explores the value and processes of creating a digital platform for creatives. 2 pm to 4 pm, Cape Fear Jetport, 4014 Airport Rd, Southport, NC.
Session I, held on July 21, will discuss the value of having a digital presence. Various types of social media, including Facebook and Instagram, as well as websites and paid platforms, will be explored, along with their pros and cons.
Session II, held on July 28, will present information on best practices for social media, including business vs. private pages, creating, scheduling, and promoting content on Facebook and Instagram.
Session III, held on August 4, provides information on website platforms, social media integration, QR codes, digital payment methods, and more.
NOTES: This is a hands-on workshop. Participants MUST bring a laptop or share with someone. A tablet or phone cannot be used as these devices function differently. Handouts provided.

Please register for this fun Gel Plate Printing class on June 27 from 10 AM – 4 PM at the Franklin Square Gallery. Create one-of-a-kind prints (monoprints) using small gel plates and stamp pads along with a combination of plant life, stencils, and texture-making tools to produce your own personalized prints.
Donna Moore has been an active teaching artist and arts administrator. She currently teaches at Brunswick Community College/Southport Center, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute/UNCW, and the Museum School/Cameron Art Museum.

Zentangle is an easy-to-learn, meditative & fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns, called tangles. Zentangle art is non-representational and unplanned and requires no previous experience. Using only pen, pencil and paper you will learn to create
intricate designs.
Zen I- Beginning – 9:00 – 12:00
Zen II- Intermediate – 1:00 – 4:00
Stay for the day and take both classes.

In this two-day workshop, Joanne Geisel will give an oil painting demonstration, and group and individual instruction. Students are encouraged to work from their own photos of marshes and skies using either oils or acrylics. All levels are welcome.
