Kate Magill Walters

Kate Magill Walters has lived in Southport with her black lab PJ since January 2015. Prior to that, she lived in midtown Manhattan. Kate was born in Chapel Hill, NC, and her family would go to Holden Beach every summer, the tradition continued with her husband. Already in love with the area, they decided to leave the west side of NYC for the sleepy seaside village of Southport when John retired.

​Kate still runs her boutique booking agency, Sophie K Entertainment, and takes long walks in the morning with her camera and her dog. She was given a camera for her birthday and started taking pictures on those walks. After taking a photography class with Stacie Walter, she practiced every morning and hasn’t stopped since. She’s very excited to be a part of The Artisans Gallery on Howe.
